Global Investment bank is looking to add a Senior MBS Prepayment Modeler to their New York City based team. On a daily basis this person will be responsible for developing and enhancing the Bank’s MBS Prepayment system with an emphasis on decommissioning tactically deployed solutions with more robust, resilient, scalable strategic solutions. This person should have a technical and financial background, with extensive experience in MBS and developing prepayment models. The successful candidate must be able and willing to eventually lead a team of modelers in this hands on management role. Qualifications include: Good oral and written communication skills; extremely strong modeling skills; proficiency desired in: C++, SAS, and VBA; be a proactive team player with a “can-do” attitude; excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills. Candidates must be excellent analytical problem solvers, have exceptional attention to detail, thoroughness a must. The ideal candidate will have a MS/PhD in a Quantitative field along with five plus years of prior financial experience with a focus on MBS prepayment modeling. Outstanding quantitative skills are necessary.
