Sr. Business Analyst needed to work in a team-oriented environment, supporting Derivatives and Fixed Income business lines.
Will also support front, middle, and back office business users throughout the organization on a variety of issues and requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in a team-oriented environment, supporting Derivatives and Fixed Income business lines.
Support front, middle, and back office business users, as well as risk, accounting, and reporting groups throughout the organization on a variety of issues and requirements.
Provide and document solutions to issues raised by users through analysis of derivative deal and market data, process logs, data interfaces, and code (scripting languages) as needed.
Deliver solutions to users by leading the development lifecycle. This requires coordinating with the development team to define and document solutions, test developed products, obtain user sign-off, and verify successful production release.
Develop and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met.
Balance a relationship between the business, operations and the technology areas, working with business users to prioritize requests.
Perform daily first line user support and problem solving using business knowledge and specific knowledge about local processes gained on the job.
TECHNICAL SKILLS Required/Must have:
User-level skills in PC Windows environment (Word, Excel and VBA, email).
Ability to utilize graphical interface of trading and risk system in a Solaris-based environment system.
Experience with a project management tool (MS Project or similar).
Desired/Plus:
Experience with using a trading system such as Opus, Summit, Calypso, etc.
Microsoft business tools (Word, Excel).
Conceptual knowledge of Unix basics, such as directory hierarchies.
Basic knowledge of shell scripting.
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE Required/Must have:
Must have derivative middle office experience and considerable operations background.
Knowledge of derivative financial products (Interest Rate Swaps and Swaptions, Credit Derivatives) and Fixed Income products, and corresponding market data.
Understanding of Derivatives and Fixed Income pricing and analytics.
Good understanding of Derivatives models and Financial Engineering.
Very familiar with the P&L process and P&L/risk explanations.
Solid Finance and Economic knowledge.
Knowledge of back office and operations process.
Derivative accounting.
Desired/Plus:
