Product Controller, Hedge Fund - Geneva - Hedge Fund Accountant.
Our client is a newly established Geneva based Hedge Fund with in excess of $4 Billion in assets under management.
Their services include alternative investment management including multi strategy with a focus on global convertible bond and equity volatility arbitrage, global equity long/short and event driven arbitrage, long only management strategies, and advisory services on management of accounts. Due to continued expansion they are seeking an experienced Hedge Fund Accountant to join the Geneva based team. This is an outstanding opportunity offering the successful candidate contact to a wide range of products including equities, CFD, bonds, convertibles, CDS, futures, options, FX, and total return swaps, etc across their range of funds. Main Roles and Responsibilities:
Production of weekly and monthly NAV estimates
Verification of the daily prices and the resulting calculation of P&L adjustments across all products/funds
Involvement in the launching of new funds
Monitoring of the of the cash balances
Creation of the daily curves to be published and feed administrators pricing models
Involvement in pricing developments and enhancements
Liaising with counterparts
Ad hoc project work / ongoing process improvement
Key Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will come from a product control role in finance, accounting and control most likely gained within an investment bank
The candidate would ideally also have good A level grades and a degree in a numerical subject
ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
The candidate must have a wide range of product knowledge, and be able to demonstrate the ability to cope with products/issues not previously encountered
An understanding of NAVs, fund accounting and Pricing methodologies would also be an advantage
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, a good communicator, a quick thinker and analytical. They should be motivated by the thought of working for a more dynamic organisation and being able to make a difference in a smaller company
