Global Investment Bank is looking to add an experienced Market Risk Manager who will be responsible for the daily oversight of the Commodity Trading desk. Experience within Commodities necessary, FX a plus.
This role’s primary responsibilities are the daily oversight of the Commodities trading desk, understand the risks and to work with the desks to create and monitor a suitable limits structure. The ability to analyse market movements and understand how this will impact the risks held by the desks is a key requirement.
Additional responsibilities include: The timely delivery of a daily oversight report explaining positions and movements in VAR; Monitor trades throughout the day to monitor their impact on positions against limits and to look for any unusual activity.
Candidates should be familiar with: Resolution of data integrity issues; Understanding and producing information from a variety of systems; Understanding the complex and changing requirements of trading desks; Work with business units to understand and assist with promoting the business strategic direction.
Qualifications for this role include: Financial Markets product experience, especially in commodity products and associated derivatives preferably within a front office product role; Knowledge of foreign exchange and currency option markets is a strong advantage; Good understanding of market risk; Good working knowledge of excel, preferably with VBA ability.
