Application Support Specialist with at least 5-8 years banking experience to provide first level support to IT systems on Unix and Windows platforms
A well respected Investment Bank requires an Application Support Specialist with a minimum of 5 years IT (banking) experience, preferably managing Application/User Support to join their established team in Hong Kong. He or she will predominantly be providing end-users support to the IT Systems providing technical alternatives recommendations or solutions to them Key responsibilities include: •Production Support (liaison with 1st/2nd level support, development teams, infrastructure) •Incident Management •Service Desk Management •Vendor Management •Project Management •General Management The incumbent will have at least 5-8 years experience with a large core banking platform and experience with both Unix and Windows platforms. Their previous role would have encompassed Networking (ftp, keys, certs, ssh), IT processes (ITIL, CMMI, Risks Assessments) and experience in providing support and managing end-users in various organisational level. Existing knowledge of Private Banking would be advantageous, but not essential, and if he or she has had exposure to T24 product architect, this would put them at good stead. The candidate should be eager to learn about new business areas, technologies and applications and have first class communication and interpersonal skills.
