We are a newly established London based UK securities and investment firm and subsidiary of a FT Global 500 company looking for professionals who would like to join us at this exciting growth stage of the company.
Being part of a core team, this role has overall responsibility for international securities settlements and operations, trade input, counterparty and client settlements, account reconciliation, client regulated reporting, FSA transactions reporting.Key responsibilities:
Ensuring the streamlined settlement of all types of international securities, debt, equity and derivative instruments.
Maintenance of all static settlement data in the system, including client, counterparty and security data.
Preparation and sending of trade confirmations to the counterparties and clients
Resolution of failed trades and trade discrepancies.
Handling the client regulatory reporting and FSA transaction reporting
Management and reconciliation of the securities nostro and suspense accounts and tracking the client and company accounts balance to prevent any shortfall of funds.
Applying the client account opening procedures in liaison with the Sales and Compliance Departments
Developing a filing system for the company, client and counterparty documents, ensuring that data maintained on behalf of clients and counterparties is up to date and adequate records are maintained.
Ensuring that internal rules and procedures are adhered to and in strict compliance with the regulatory rules on an ongoing basis
Participate in the long-term development of operational practices, tools and settlement systems within the Group on an ongoing basis.
Skills, Experience and Qualification
Good and detailed knowledge of investment instruments
Minimum 3 years industry and settlements experience
Detailed knowledge of the Operation and Confirmation procedures for both UK and overseas securities markets
Ability to communicate at all levels
Computer literate with Microsoft Office and advanced level of Excel is required
Securities Institute – IAQ Qualification and / or an accounting qualification
