This global Investment Bank seeks an exceptional Java analyst programmer to join its dynamic Front Office team, and develop and enhance a large portfolio of applications and Trading Systems for its Institutional Equities business.

Working closely with the business and the Bank’s Chief Architect, you will play a lead role in all aspects of production support, system enhancements and new system development initiatives and projects, of which there will be a number of in the coming months.

In order to be successful, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Several years formal experience with Object Oriented Design and Analysis (OOAD) developing real-time systems
• Solid core Java programming skills incl java threading, RMI, JDBC, Swing and Junit
• Technical knowledge of UML and Design Patterns
• Strong SQL skills and relational database (RDBMS) knowledge, preferably
• Sybase, coupled with Unix (Solaris) and shell scripting skills
• Any experience or knowledge of C++ highly regarded
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with well developed communication and influencing skills
