Our client is a Fund of Hedge Fund with an enviable track record, $billions under management, and part of a major financial services firm. They are currently seeking a credit specialist who has excellent relationship management skills and so can take on some of the marketing/sales duties in addition to the analysis of credit hedge funds. The role involves meeting credit hedge fund managers to assess their potential as an investment, keeping very close to the market to be aware of new entrants and having an asset allocation view on how credit relates to other hedge fund investments. The role will involve researching all types of credit hedge funds, though of particular interest at present are those with an ABS or RMBS focus, and so it would be a distinct advantage if you had experience in that area. Suitable candidates will have at least 2 years experience in a credit research/sales/trading or structuring role, and are likely to come from one of the top investment banks, with an excellent educational background.
