PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Production Support Resource for Foreign Exchange Trading platform in a fast-paced, global environment. This position is a London based member of Global Virtual Foreign Exchange Support Team. This position will provide primary support for the Global Markets Dealable Stream Product. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide primary support for the Global Markets Dealable Stream Product. - Work as part of the Global Foreign Exchange Support Virtual Team to monitor and maintain the Dealable Stream. - Monitor Production Systems. - Troubleshoot production problems and log events in ticketing system. - Create, update and critique production support documentation as necessary. - Escalate problems to development and notify business. - Partner with business, operations, development and QA teams on daily activities and with projects and testing initiatives. - Provide 24x7, on-call support. In turn, State Street is committed to providing our employees with rewarding careers that deliver value in the form of opportunities, training and development OUR REQUIREMENTS - Hands on experience with one or more FX trading systems (Wall Street Systems experience is essential, Cognotec, Currenex, etc.) - Knowledge of UNIX and NT and ability to create and maintain system environments. - Knowledge of Foreign Exchange business process flows. - Knowledge of TCP/IP in an enterprise environment. - Knowledge of and experience with Market Data systems. - Electronic trading experience (FIX, SWIFT, etc.) - SQL/Database skills - Working knowledge of Middleware (MQ Series, etc.), and J2EE applications - Extensive relevant work experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent with technical focus preferred - Previous experience in financial services - Demonstrated ability to work in a global work environment - Excellent facilitation and written/oral communication skills - Infrequent travel to global trading sites may be required (once or twice a year)
