High calibre, fund accountant / administrator with previous hedge funds experience required by this successful Sydney based investment firm.
Our client is a successful Investment Manager in the CBD and continues to win new mandates. With close to US$300m of assets under management they currently seek the services of an experienced Hedge Fund administrator in their team.
Working in a role that carries a high level of responsibility and regular contact with the Fund Manager and Trader, you will be expected to become an integral part of the business and want to share in the success of the firm. These duties will include:
preparing accurate daily trading reports
liaison with Prime Brokers and Third Party Administrators
reconciliation of equity/derivative & cash positions
reconciliation of estimated NAV calculations
trade input and analysis
With the demands of the financial markets, this role requires an individual who is flexible in approach and prepared to work outside the core 9 to 5 hours when needed. The company is also keen to attract a candidate who can work with minimal supervision, is extremely accurate in the work they produce and will foster a good team spirit.
Applicants should be educated to degree level, have at least 2 years experience in a similar role and have gained exposure to futures, swaps and other derivative products. Fund accounting experience and intermediate to advanced level Excel skills will also prove highly advantageous.
An excellent salary is available and the company offers a bonus culture where you could earn 50-100% of your salary based on company / individual performance.
