This highly successful business is establishing operations in Melbourne and an exciting role has arisen for a finance professional to drive the development of the finance function.
You will take full ownership for the establishment of the fund accounting, financial reporting and regulatory reporting functions within Australia. The role will see you studying best practice in key locations around the Globe in the first three months, before working with developers and systems specialists to replicate those functions here in Melbourne. You will bring to bear your strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of fund accounting to develop best practice systems, controls and processes. This leadership role will be properly supported locally by accounting professionals and other specialists from the systems and product side. As part of the Senior Management team, you will influence the shape of the finance function, will work closely with the local MD and will be an active participant in the management of the strategic planning and budgeting processes. On an ongoing basis, you will be responsible for building a large team, in line with the business' plans for expansion in the Australian market.
