Due to strong growth in UK and Western/Northern Europe, our clients would be interested in receiving CVs of individuals with project/business development experience in Nuclear, Renewables and Conventional Power.
Whilst there is a requirement for varying levels of seniority, keys skills and experience should include some or all of the following: - Role and Functional Experience: • Focus on the development and/or acquisition of power projects in new markets and existing markets • Identify and establish new commercial opportunities e.g. construction and joint ventures • Drive major capital projects from concept to completion and operation e.g. feasibility studies, environmental impacts assessment, land, permitting, risk assessment, PPA or tolling agreements, finance agreements • Liaise with licensing authorities and regulators • Draft, negotiate and manage commercial agreements • Negotiate with national governments, public and private utilities, international banks and construction companies • Establish new and maintain existing strategic relationships with potential sponsors and 3rd parties • Establish robust working relationships with core internal business partners • Production of management reports and presentations • Ensure compliance with risk management and governance policies and procedures Candidate Specification: Qualifications: • Educated to degree level, ideally Engineering, Physics or Maths plus ideally, a commercial MBA Ideal Skills: • Excellent understanding of the energy industry • A good understanding is essential of relevant UK and continental European network codes, regulatory framework, technical and commercial issues as applicable to the design, construction and operation of power plants • Ability to implement the IPP model • Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships • Ability to learn and develop • Ability to communicate and manage multi-disciplined and multi-cultural networks • Experience of cross-border working e.g. Western & Eastern Europe and beyond • Expert understanding of all key commercial terms and conditions • Excellent financial, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, must possess gravitas • Fluent in English a requirement, but other European languages would be a distinct advantage • Ability to work closely with key business partners
