VP of Risk Management needed for start-up hedge fund client
IJC Partners has been tasked with finding a top caliber risk analyst to be the #2 for a multi-billion start-up hedge fund.
A lot of the details are confidential as our client has not launched, but they are all well known and of course very well capitalized. The founders of the fund have backgrounds in distressed debt, real estate, distressed private equity, Asian private equity.
As the VP of risk, you will handle risk management and monitoring of the various porfolios. Assist with building out the risk system architecture. You will also assist with building tools to evaluate and optimize the distribution of capital to the various asset classes and strategies. Determine the expected performance, volatility, VaR and stress loss, under various scenarios of fund growth, manager performance and strategy correlations.
Ideally looking for 5 + years experience, but will consider less experience for sharp candidates. Ph.D. is preferred, but stellar MS backgrounds will be considered as well.
