Portfolio Management. Portfolio Managers are primarily responsible for market research, portfolio strategy and trade execution.

POSITION SCOPE The Bank & Brokerage Group is responsible for distribution within the bank and wirehouse brokerage channels. The business represents over $20 billion of managed assets for PIMCO.
POSITION DESCRIPTION PIMCO is seeking a Marketing Associate to provide support to the Bank & Brokerage Group with the objective of leveraging existing resources and enhancing the sales and servicing efforts of the team. The role is based in Newport Beach, CA. and reports to a senior professional in the Bank & Brokerage Group.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Economics is required for this role. Candidates must have or be ready to pursue Series 7, 3, and 63 licenses.
Experience An understanding of the objectives and issues facing leading financial intermediaries is needed for success in this role. Our ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in fixed income and familiar with financial services marketing. Preference will be given to candidates with sales experience in the financial services marketplace.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting marketing, servicing and business management in the Bank & Brokerage Group. Tasks may include: • Serve as an internal resource to Account Managers by coordinating marketing and servicing activities • Generate monthly and quarterly asset tracking reports • Manage marketing projects, including distribution agreements • Coordinate RFPs and special projects with Product Managers, Communications, Compliance and the Electronic Business Group • Manage and maintain the CRM database • Monitor industry and client trends and conduct competitor analysis ? Develop sales and marketing materials

WORKING CONDITIONS This position is based in PIMCO’s Newport Beach office with limited travel throughout the United States. The standard workday varies greatly, based on the current workload. Employees may be required to sit on a plane for a long period of time or to drive to different cities. Employees will frequently view and read information on a computer screen; and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means.
