Leading US based investment management firm with more than $50billion in assets under management across multiple specialized investment strategies, requires an AVP to join its real estate platform covering SE Asia. Private investments also include distressed debt, private equity and mezzanine debt.
The client requires an assistant vice president to join its special situations, distress and real estate platform covering the South East Asia region. The main responsibilities include: Developing, analyzing and assessing new investment opportunities; Assisting in due diligence, acquisition, deal structuring, financing and sales of real estate investments; Preparing and reviewing financial spreadsheets for existing and prospective portfolio properties; Conducting market research and maintaining analytical resources; Performing property and entity level valuation analysis using MS Excel; Modeling of long-term cash flow and analysis of IRRs. The candidate will be required to have relevant and broad-based experience in special situation, distress and real estate investing and have demonstrated competency in all aspects of transaction execution including: analysis, due diligence, valuations, preparing investment memorandums, structuring funding and closing deals strongly preferred. Those with experience of conducting deals in Singapore, Thailand, India or Australia/New Zealand will be at an advantage. The candidate will have exceptional skills in analyzing investment opportunities, market information and company financials. The candidate must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. A bachelor’s degree from a top university or college is required and those with an MBA beneficial.
