This understated yet well known institution working across a broad range of countries and sectors is committed to providing expansion capital to smaller, locally managed enterprises. In order to manage this process effectively, the bank plans to create a specific facility in which to target this sector with maximum efficiency. They are seeking an additional team member with a proven Private Equity background who can develop this product (originate, structure, post investment support). Responsibilities include: - manage and administer a portfolio of smaller investments made in locally owned and managed companies and/or alongside regional sponsors - be the primary execution capacity on selected equity transactions, managing the full project cycle - assist with the training of bankers regarding general equity investment principles or best practice corporate governance principles - undertaking reviews of valuations - act as the bank's nominee on various Boards of investee companies when required The role requires high level investment skills incorporating demonstrated expertise in structuring and exiting from successful equity operations. A proven track record obtained from a major commercial or investment bank is a pre-requisite supported by the appropriate private equity experience (fund or within a division). The prospective incumbent must have the ability to coach more junior team members and drive a business forward. The right mix of diplomacy and sensitivity to diversity is absolutely essential to the success of this role. A knowledge of Eastern European languages is required. Russian speaking will be a significant advantage.
