The Position
Seeking an experienced economist to generate original research on a wide range of capital markets and empirical finance related issues. Extensive econometric and time series analysis required. Reporting to the Head of the Investment Counseling & Research Group (IC&R), work will include both co-authoring peer reviewed publications and presenting at conferences, as well as proprietary internal research in support of investment and client service initiatives.
Requirements:
- PhD in Economics or Finance from top-tier academic institution. - Prior publishing history and an interest in investments, finance, capital markets and related areas. - At least 3-5 years work experience outside academia required. - Strong technical, analytical and programming skills, including a strong grasp of time-series econometrics
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an investment organization, or another commercial financial services environment such as a pension consultancy or sell side brokerage firm.
