Regional Expense Management, VP, Investment Bank
This is a prominent role for a Vice President to join the Global Banking Expense Management desk in the improvement team within the Asia Pacific Region.
You will analyse demand for products and services and develop and implement strategies which will facilitate effective demand management. You should produce analytics and reporting to help Expense Management, COOs, P&L controllers, and expense category managers to better understand expense trends, variances, impact of savings initiatives, and forecast details. You should establish KPIs and transparency by expense line and identify hot-spots (exceptions, outliers to benchmarks and trends). You will identify and develop strategic and tactical expense and efficiency improvement strategies. You will work with IB Front Office and Shared Services divisions (IT, CRES, Supply management and the like) to establish governance, launch efficiency/savings programs and program/project manage initiatives to completion and savings realisation and analyse monthly IB fixed expenses, direct and allocated financials.
You should have an outstanding and proven track record of some of the associated expense categories stated and have strong financial analysis skills. You should have a Bachelor or advanced degree with specialization in Finance or Accounting and about 8 years relevant experience in an expense related discipline (expense management, supply management, consulting with an efficiency focus). You should have proven strategic thinking with hands-on project/program management experience. Some knowledge of key technology areas such as hardware, software, networks, software development life-cycle and productivity measurement and be equipped with excellent communication skills.
