A MAJOR New York based HEDGE FUND specializing in fixed income investments with $10B+ AUM is looking for a junior to mid level Analyst for an opportunity fund focusing on distressed mortgage assets. Primary duties will be analyzing mortgage assets using in-house credit models to perform valuations and relative value analysis to come up with trade ideas and opportunities. MUST HAVE experience in ALL of the following: loan level analysis, relative value analysis, trade idea generation, and risk management. MUST HAVE a bottom up framework with primary experience being at the loan level. Will be reporting to Senior Portfolio Manager. Prefer experience with subprime mortgage collateral.
