Deloitte has an established and growing Education and Skills team with a capacity to draw on our fully integrated consulting and regional practices. This has enabled us to serve clients on a number of challenging projects. Clients include central government departments, QIA, LSC, colleges and universities. The scale of our firm and experience allows us to supplement core teams with advisory teams of internal experts to input on activities relating to specific assignments. The experience gained in advising clients on matters relating to education and skills and stakeholder engagement
Up to date, informed, insightful advice on national and regional policy and practices relating to skills and education,
Experience in evaluating and delivering education, skills and employability initiatives, programmes and projects, across the UK at regional, local and national level;
A strong understanding of factors affecting demand and supply for education and skills, and the role of the regional and local delivery arms;
Experience of working within the education system together with large employers and SME’s and of helping them find solutions to problems relating to their workforce
Experience of working with key stakeholder for the DCSF, DIUS, LSC and QIA eg Schools, Colleges, Independent Training Providers and Universities and drawing on best practice across the sector
More generally, the Education and Skills team works with clients to address issues of relating to the development and delivery of educational policy such as delivering world class skills, new schools, 14-19 reforms, the development of diplomas, apprenticeships and employer engagement. The Education and Skills Team draws on the wider firm to offer advice on Tax, Audit and Corporate finance to offer a broad portfolio of services to clients from across the education system in order that they can meet their organisational objectives and improve the opportunities available to learners. Team members are supported with a wide programme of training and development opportunities.

Manages project work-stream on-time with appropriate use of resources
Demonstrates understanding of stakeholder engagement

Structures part of proposals, and documents in the context of the engagement
Manages and develops more junior staff on projects

Contributes to firm activities and to the firm’s knowledge
To Qualify, you will have:
Minimum 2nd class degree together with a relevant post-graduate qualification
Education and Skills experience and desire to consult across the education system nationally
Strong track record of managing large teams
Ability to develop client relationships and support follow-on sales opportunities
Evidence of delivering education and skills projects from end-to-end
Strong technical expertise and credibility in one or more of the Central Government Education Bodies
Ability to lead small teams of Deloitte, client and sub-contractor resources
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Self motivated and ambitious with ability to motivate others
Proven ability to work effectively in teams
Demonstrable business insight and acumen
Good problem solving and project management skills
