JOB DESCRIPTION ISGAM is now seeking two individuals to help grow the business. Given the company model, the ideal candidates will be a client-orientated, commercially-attuned, entrepreneurial relationship / wealth manager who is focused on providing medium to long term investment planning and management to an already-established book of clients (between US$20million-US$100million under discretionary management). ISGAM is flexible as regards both geographical coverage as well as location provided there is sufficient accessibility for training and regulatory purposes. The successful candidate will use the company’s own independent discretionary portfolio management services, based in Zurich, to do the administration and portfolio management for his/her clients' portfolios. CRITERIA The successful candidates may currently work in this field : - as a member of a small asset management company and may be ready for a move
- in the corporate banking sector, but wishing to effectively own their own business
- as an independent financial advisor, wanting more back-up (eg portfolio management, part of a financial planning team...);
- Or may recently be without a job or out of business, and keen to re-launch with the support of an experienced team and back up of an extremely competent and productive administration and portfolio management company.
Professional and personal traits: the successful candidate will be - someone we and his / her clients can trust
- fully qualified and, if necessary, regulated, to advise clients within their chosen country.
- university educated
- with their own private clientele which has USD 20 million to 100 million under medium to long term discretionary management which could move to the management of ISGAM AG
- interested and capable to sustain and build on this client base
- interested and sufficiently self motivated to be effectively working for him/herself, running their own client business, alongside a team of experienced professionals who are doing likewise with their own clienteles
- highly knowledgeable of the industry as a whole as well as latest products and trends
- happy to conduct own research
- be fluent in English, other languages would be an added advantage
As regards their career paths, candidates are likely to be individuals who are: - in the middle of their career in the industry and keen to own and manage their own client book as well as to build their position in the business;
- people who wish to leave the large corporate environment to run their own clientele with the backup of their colleagues and the services of ISGAM or retire in the foreseeable future
- people who interested in an ‘exit strategy’ from the industry: ISGAM would consider buying their clients off them if it continued to manage their portfolios after the person ceased to work in this sector
REPORTING LINE The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director REMUNERATION Tailor made to the individual. The successful candidate will be open to build his/her own remuneration which will be proportional to the income generated from his/her clients' initial and portfolio management fees on an ongoing basis.
