- Responsible for managing all aspects of the financial accounting processes that results in the timely and accurate preparation of the legal books and records for a bank (volume description etc) including oversight for accounting support services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payment processing. - Preparation of financial statements in accordance with local accounting principles - General-ledger Accounting - Income and expense accrual management (accuracy and^timeliness of recognition) - Inter-company accounting - General Ledger reconciliations and certification - Month-end and year-end close - Preparation for Audits - Management of Accounting Projects (process, technology) - Tax computations and filing returns (CIT & VAT) - Developing, maintaining operating procedures and controls for the Accounting area - Day to day management of the Accounting team - Maintenance of accounting infrastructure (Master Reference Data) - Compliance with corporate policies pertaining to accounting
Profile
- Financial Accounting education - 8+ years of relevant work experience/certified accountant - High level of technical knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (Luxembourg, US, IFRS) - Strong people Management skills - Ability to identify and address process gaps and opportunities for improvement (including systems) - Experience in a multi-national - Comfortable with a changing environment - Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and service orientation - Strong communication skills: - Fluent French (written and verbal) - Very strong English (written and verbal) - Ability to present ideas clearly - Good PC application knowledge necessary (MS Office) - Ability to manage and participate in small and medium sized projects - Strong knowledge of local statutory accounting and regulatory environment - Experienced with accounting software packages (ideally Sun)
