With the continued expansion of the business, our client is currently recruiting a local Product Manager to head up the securities service team in Japan. The incumbent will be responsible for growing the securities service business and developing the team to be a leader in the local domestic market. In addition, you will be responsible for:
Establishing clear product definitions, product development agenda, sales and client segmentation strategies, marketing plans and service delivery performance
Contributing local perspective to strategic agenda set out by global and regional product teams
Developing market, industry and competitor analysis
Overseeing local P&L objectives and driving unit costing and pricing in line with global policies and procedures
Building a high profile and brand in the market place through use of media, advertising, conferences and other direct marketing initiatives
Reviewing and indentifying product gaps and weaknesses to drive product enhancements and improvements, whilst expanding into new products
Developing and implementing client satisfaction measures against product performance
Enhancing product management function through interaction with managers across all relevant functions
Working with local legal, risk and compliance to ensure all relevant policies and procedures are complied with
In order to be considered, you must possess the following:
An undergraduate degree in finance, economics or a relevant discipline
Minimum of 10 years in transaction banking, with at least 5 years in a product management capacity a MUST
Solid experience in securities or asset servicing is a MUST – strategic planning, analysis, client servicing, custody, clearing, operations in securities service can be considered
Strong personality, influencing and change management skills
Written and spoken fluency in English and Japanese is required for this role
Willingness to relocate to Tokyo, Japan
